Job summary

Newcastle Anglican seeks Registered Nurses to join our Anglican Care aged care facilities in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. You will lead ward teams, mentor staff, and coordinate person-centred care with strong communication across teams.

Applicants must be AHPRA-registered with a background in palliative care and a commitment to dignity-driven care. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to work varied shifts are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration.
• Experience in palliative care with ageing populations.
• Demonstrates dignity- and person-centred care.
• Strong time management and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Willingness to work morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• National Police Check (NDIS Check may be required).

Newcastle Anglican has permanent opportunities for Registered Nurses to join its Anglican Care aged care facilities across Newcastle + Lake Macquarie.

You will have the ability to act as a team leader and mentor at ward level, participating in effective teamwork and maintaining communication with colleagues to promote collaboration and facilitate the coordination of person centred care. Your strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills will prove invaluable as you work collaboratively with a range of staff.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Experience in palliative care, knowledge ofAN-ACC and providing high quality care of the ageing people
• Demonstrated experience in leadership of employees
• Excellent time management, an ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Current Drivers Licence

• Registered Nurse with current registration under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Proven ability to deliver person centre care that respects the dignity and worth of the individual.

• Willingness to undergo a functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening
