Job summary

Newcastle Anglican seeks experienced Care Assistants to join its casual pool, working across aged care homes on the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents with respect and compassion.

Ideal applicants hold a Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or are a 2nd/3rd year RN student, have a current First Aid certificate, and can work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or be a 2nd/3rd year RN student.
• Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to undertake pre-employment checks.
• Own reliable transport.

The Opportunity

Newcastle Anglican are seeking experienced Care Assistants to join its casual pool working across our aged care homes, in the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing excellent care to seniors in our residential aged care homes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and energetic individual looking to gain further experience in a great team environment. You will have the opportunity to make every moment matter by bringing respect, compassion, integrity and enhancing the wellbeing of our residents and consumers.

About you?

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, or 2nd/3rd Yr RN student
• Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
• An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to accurately document residents care/progress
• Willingness to undertake pre employment checks - criminal history check, functional health assessment including drug and alcohol screening
• Own reliable transport - Car + licence
