Job summary

Newcastle Anglican seeks experienced Care Assistants to join its aged care facilities in Newcastle & Lake Macquarie in permanent part-time roles. You will provide high-quality care to residents within a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

You will promote a positive culture, deliver person-centred care, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to Aged Care Standards, working flexibly across morning, afternoon and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support or nursing student status (RN year 2 or 3).
• Flexibility to work morning, afternoon and night shifts.
• Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote Anglican Care’s positive culture through interactions with residents, staff and their families.
• Consistent delivery of person centred care to residents in our facilities.
• Observe confidentiality matters at all times associated with documentation and communications.
• Abide by Aged Care Standards.
• Work as an effective team member.

About you?

• Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, or 2nd/3rd Yr RN student
• Be flexible to work a range of shift morning, afternoon and night
• Current First Aid Certificate (ongoing requirement) or willing to obtain
• An ability to work effectively as an individual and within a team
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to accurately document residents care/progress
• Current drivers licence + own reliable vehicle
• Willingness to undergo a functional assessment and drug and alcohol screening
• Current NDIS Check
• National Police Check (the Diocese will consider the relevance of any reported outcomes).
