Job summary

Balmain Hospital in Sydney is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centred, evidence-informed nursing care, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care. The role supports both permanent full-time and part-time schedules (minimum 16 hours per week) in a public health setting.

• Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
• Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
• Evidence of computer literacy and understanding of relevant health related information systems.

About The Role

Balmain Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that has been caring for local people since 1885. It is dedicated to Aged Care, Rehabilitation and General Practice. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes.
