Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District in Sydney's north welcomes an experienced registered nurse to Ryde Hospital Ward 6 on a temporary part-time basis with a $41.23–$57.88 hourly rate. The role includes education and training opportunities and a dedicated learning pathway for the specialty.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with patients and the multi-disciplinary team, focused on delivering quality outcomes while supporting a safe patient environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with AHPRA.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the health care team to achieve quality patient care outcomes.
• Work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families with culturally safe care.

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, caring and passionate registered nurse to join Ryde Hospital on a temporary part time basis. You will be working in Ward 6 which is a 19 bed ward consisting of surgical and orthopaedics patients. You will be working with a supportive team and there are education and training opportunities, as well as a dedicated learning pathway for the speciality. Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.

The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.

Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.

What You’ll Be Doing

Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

• Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
