Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a dynamic full-time Nurse Screener at Ryde Hospital, Booking Unit, to assess and plan the elective surgery journey for patients.

You will screen all elective surgery bookings, liaise with key stakeholders, and coordinate pre-operative requirements to ensure safe and timely delivery of care. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nursing Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated ability to assess patients, identify clinical concerns and escalation issues when required.
• Ability to review referrals, complete patient screening and coordinate pre-operative requirements.

What you'll be doing

You will be responsible for screening all elective surgery bookings and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure safe and timely delivery of care.
