Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead infection prevention and control activities across Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospitals. This role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality patient care while contributing to quality improvement and safety culture.

The nurse will work in a specialist infection prevention and control service, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice and person-centred care in a busy hospital setting.

What you'll be doing

As a Registered Nurse, you will use your clinical knowledge, communication skills and professional judgement to support excellent patient outcomes and contribute to safe healthcare delivery.


Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care that meets patient needs


Respond to changing clinical priorities and delegate care appropriately


Communicate with patients, families and healthcare teams to advocate for patient needs


Support the supervision and mentoring of staff and students


Manage resources effectively while working within professional and ethical standards


Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
