Job summary

Healthscope's Norwest Private Hospital in Sydney's North West seeks an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will join a collaborative team focused on safety, clinical excellence and compassionate care across emergency services.

You will hold an unrestricted AHPRA RN registration, pursue postgraduate Emergency or Critical Care nursing, and mentor ENs and AINs while supporting families throughout the patient journey.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care Nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department, you will:

• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with professional standards
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care outcomes
• Support, supervise and mentor Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs)
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve the best outcomes for patients
• Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout their care journey
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement for both patients and staff

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-focused care
• Understanding of ACQSHC National Standards
• Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain)
• Postgraduate qualification in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care Nursing
