Job summary

Norwest Private Hospital, part of Healthscope, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialising in urology and perioperative care. The role supports patients through their surgical journey with evidence-based nursing and patient-centred care.

You will join a skilled multidisciplinary team, contribute to quality improvement, and provide education to patients and families. Flexible full-time or part-time opportunities are available with competitive entitlements.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in surgical nursing.
• Demonstrated experience in urology nursing.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Urology Ward, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care and supporting patients throughout their recovery journey.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in line with best practice standards
• Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout treatment and recovery
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, medical specialists, allied health professionals and nursing colleagues
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Advocate for patients and promote a culture of safe clinical practice
• Support positive patient experiences through compassionate, person-centred care

About You

You are a passionate and skilled clinician who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years' experience in surgical nursing
• Demonstrated experience in urology nursing
• Current Working with Children Check
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Commitment to quality and safety standards
• Sound understanding of ACQSHC National Standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2024, a salary ranging from $40.26-$56.54per hour.
