Healthscope’s Nepean Private Hospital in Penrith is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join the Surgical Ward on a permanent Part Time basis. The role involves delivering safe nursing care, supervising the nursing team, and educating patients for recovery and end-of-life needs.

Ideal candidates will have 2 years RN experience (Surgical/Orthopaedic preferred), current AHPRA registration, and a commitment to high-quality care plus ACQSHC standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent.
• Current Registration with AHPRA (no restrictions).
• 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (Surgical/Orthopaedic ward desirable).
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards.
• Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care.
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members (ENs and AINs).
• Deliver education and support to patients for health recovery or end of life needs.

Nepean Private Hospital is seeking experienced Registered Nurse’s to join our Surgical Ward on a permanent Part Time basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

Nepean Private Hospital is in the multi-cultural Western Sydney City of Penrith. The hospital is a modern 109 bed facility providing a wide range of health services to the local community since 2000 including: orthopaedics, spinal, gynaecology, ENT, plastics, urology and general surgery, endoscopy, cardiology, cardiac angiography and obstetrics. Nepean Private Hospital has eight operating theatres, one hybrid/cardiac catheterisation theatre and an endoscopy suite, supported by a critical care unit which includes intensive care.

As a Registered Nurse your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver safe, researched-based standards of nursing care
• Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
• Deliver education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation or end of life needs
• Led successful quality improvement and safety management project/s to deliver desired outcomes
• Work collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs
• Act as a role model for Safe Practice
• Authority to Work in Australia
• Working with Children check
• Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent
• Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA
• 2 years’ experience as a Registered Nurse (Surgical and Orthopaedic ward experience desirable)
• Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
• Clinical expertise and commitment to high quality patient care and continuous improvement
• Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team
• Highly developed interpersonal skills, proactive, motivated and customer focused

If successful, your pay will be based on EBA 23 - Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF — NSW Nurses’ & Midwives’ Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024 with an hourly rate ranging between $40.26 - $56.54 per hour.
