Job summary

Ozcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent part-time role in the Emerald locale and surrounding suburbs. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care across all age groups in the community, handling complex wound care, palliative care, medication administration and chronic disease management.

Key duties include initial assessments, care planning, coordinating care with families and the multidisciplinary team, documenting progress, and contributing to quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA and relevant qualification.
• CPR certificate is required.
• Police clearance within the past 3 years.
• Valid Queensland driver's licence.

Responsibilities

Job description

We have a permanent part-time opportunity available for Registered Nurses supporting our clients within the Emerald locale and surrounding suburbs.

Your Role

As a Registered Nurse you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care across all age groups within the community, supporting a variety of clinical needs including complex wound care, palliative care, medication administration and chronic disease management. Your tasks will include:

• Initial assessment of client needs and implementation of ongoing care, including coordination, case management and care planning

• Delivering holistic, client-centred care in consultation with clients, families and the multidisciplinary team

• Monitoring, evaluating and documenting client progress in line with professional and legal standards

• Administering and reviewing medications, treatments and clinical interventions

• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and making referrals as required to support client outcomes

• Maintaining accurate, timely documentation and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives

How You'll Benefit

Role Requirements

• Candidates must have availability to work Monday, Wednesday & Friday (8:00am - 2:30pm) to be considered for this position.

• Proof of immunity, or willingness to become vaccinated against, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox) and Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

• Current National Police Check (with validity in the past 3 years)

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) & relevant qualification

• Current Queensland driver's licence

• Current CPR Certificate

• Good computer and mobile device skills
