Job summary

Ozcare is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver aged care at home across the Whitsunday region. The role covers initial assessments, care planning, and coordinated, holistic nursing support for clients in their homes.

The position requires current AHPRA registration, MMR/Varicella/Pertussis immunity, a Police check, a valid Queensland driver’s licence, and CPR certification. Part-time hours with the support of a dedicated team and client-centred care ethos.

Qualifications

• Proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella and Pertussis (Whooping Cough).
• Current Police Screening Certificate.
• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Current Queensland driver’s licence.
• Current CPR Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Initial assessment of client needs and ongoing care planning and coordination.
• Provision of care according to personalised care plans.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team using a holistic approach to achieve optimum client care.

Registered Nurse - Aged Care at Home (Whitsundays)

We have part-time opportunities available for Registered Nurses supporting our clients across the Whitsunday and Proserpine region.

Your Role

As a Registered Nurse you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. The nursing team care for all age groups within our community with a variety of nursing needs, including but not limited to complex wound care, palliative care, medication administration and chronic disease management.

Your tasks will include:

• Initial assessment of client needs and implementation of ongoing care, co-ordination, case management and care planning
• Provision of excellent care and service to clients in line with their personalised care plans
• Using a holistic approach, working within a multidisciplinary team, achieving the optimum care for clients
• Liaison with and referral to other organisations as required provide for the client's needs
