Job summary

Elderly Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Toowoomba Aged Care Residence nursing team. This casual role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our elderly residents, including medication management, wound care, and health monitoring.

You will work nights, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and maintain thorough documentation while contributing to practice improvements and the overall wellbeing of residents and their families.

Qualifications

• Current registration as an AHPRA Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an aged care or similar healthcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents, including medication management, wound care, and health monitoring.
• Assess and develop individualised care plans to meet residents' needs.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team for coordinated care delivery.

Job description

Elderly Care is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our dynamic aged care team at Toowoomba Aged Care Residence. This Casual role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our elderly residents, providing high-quality nursing care and supporting our commitment to person-centred care.

What you'll be doing

Providing comprehensive nursing care to our elderly residents, including medication management, wound care, and monitoring of health conditions

Assessing and developing individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each resident

Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure seamless and coordinated care delivery

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation, in accordance with regulatory requirements

Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of our nursing practices and aged care services

Promoting a positive and supportive environment for our residents, families, and the broader care team

What we're looking for

The ability to work night shifts in accordance with the roster

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Minimum of 2 years' experience in an aged care or similar healthcare setting

Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Commitment to person-centred care and a passion for improving the lives of the elderly

Proficiency in relevant software applications and documentation processes
