Job summary

Lutheran Services invites applications for Registered Nurse at Salem Aged Care in Toowoomba, QLD. Join a not-for-profit team delivering person-centred clinical care with dignity and compassion for residents.

You will conduct assessments, develop care plans, monitor health, and respond to emergencies while supporting dementia and palliative care needs. AHPRA registration and police/NDIS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Nursing.
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Ability to lead and support care teams in a residential aged care environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Conducting clinical assessments and developing person-centred care plans.
• Monitoring resident health and evaluating care outcomes.
• Providing complex nursing care, including wound management and chronic disease support.
• Responding to health concerns, acute deterioration and clinical emergencies.
• Supporting residents living with dementia through safe behavioural management practices.
• Delivering palliative and end-of-life care with compassion and professionalism.
• Administering and managing medications in line with best practice guidelines.
• Supporting infection prevention and control initiatives.
• Leading, mentoring and supporting Enrolled Nurses and Personal Carers.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and care records.

Employment Type: Permanent Part Time | availability for AM/PM & Night Shift

Your Role: As a Registered Nurse, you'll be responsible for delivering and overseeing high-quality clinical care while supporting residents with a range of complex and changing needs. Your responsibilities will include:
