Job summary

E.C. Throsby, a family-owned Australian beef processing leader with facilities in Whittingham and Young, NSW, seeks a Group Manager – Training to lead and develop training programs across our regional sites.

You will drive onboarding, safety, food compliance and skills development for a multilingual workforce, mentor site trainers and ensure training records meet regulatory and customer audit requirements, with regular travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in training or workforce development within production, manufacturing or agriculture.
• Strong understanding of training methods for multilingual and low-literacy workforces.
• Knowledge of Australian WHS legislation, HACCP, DAFF requirements and Fair Work standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of training programs across multiple sites.
• Develop practical, accessible training for a diverse, multilingual workforce.
• Oversee onboarding and induction, including WHS, food safety, animal welfare and workplace obligations.
• Lead, mentor and support site training coordinators and on‑floor trainers.
• Ensure training systems, records and programs meet regulatory and customer audit requirements.
• Work closely with Operations, QA, Safety and HR to identify training needs and skills gaps.
• Monitor training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate training delivery across morning, afternoon and night shifts as required.
