Job summary

Monbeef, part of Bindaree Food Group, seeks a Safety & Training Specialist to champion a positive safety culture across the site in Cooma, NSW. You will partner with leaders to manage risks, incidents and corrective actions while coordinating safety programs, audits and training initiatives.

The role involves inductions, training delivery, maintaining records and developing Safe Work Instructions, with a focus on continuous improvement and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in health, safety and/or training in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management and incident investigations.
• Ability to influence, coach and build relationships at all levels of the business.
• Confident facilitating training, inductions and workplace learning initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills and a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Champion a positive safety culture across the Monbeef site.
• Partner with leaders to manage risks, incidents and corrective actions.
• Coordinate health and safety programs, audits and compliance activities.
• Deliver inductions and support workforce training and capability development.
• Maintain training records and oversee site training systems and schedules.
• Develop, review and manage Safe Work Instructions and safety documentation.
• Facilitate safety committee meetings and critical risk management activities.
• Coordinate external training providers and annual training plans.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that keep our people safe.
• Build strong relationships across operations, safety, training and P&C teams.
