Job summary

E.C. Throsby is a family-owned Australian business and a leader in export beef processing. The Group Manager – Training will lead and develop training programs across regional processing facilities, reporting to Group Manager Operations.

This hands-on leadership role requires regular travel between sites to drive onboarding, safety, and skills development for a multilingual workforce. You will lead site trainers, strengthen training systems and ensure employees have the knowledge to work safely

Qualifications

• Experience in training or workforce development within production, manufacturing or agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of training programs across multiple sites.
• Develop practical, accessible training for a diverse, multilingual workforce.
• Oversee onboarding and induction, including WHS, food safety, animal welfare and workplace obligations.
• Lead, mentor and support site training coordinators and on‑floor trainers.
• Ensure training systems, records and programs meet regulatory and customer audit requirements.
• Work closely with Operations, QA, Safety and HR to identify training needs and skills gaps.
• Monitor training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
• Coordinate training delivery across morning, afternoon and night shifts as required.
