Job summary

ISS Global is seeking an experienced Regional Manager, Injury Assist NSW/ACT to lead workers’ compensation and injury management across NSW and the ACT. You will oversee compliance with NSW self-insurance licence, manage ACT insured arrangements and drive early intervention, sustainable return-to-work outcomes and financially responsible claims management.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in workers’ compensation, including early intervention and return to work.
• Experience leading and developing a claims or injury management team.
• Experience in a self-insurance environment with regulatory compliance, audits and licence requirements.
• Strong knowledge of NSW/ACT workers’ compensation legislation and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the NSW/ACT Injury Assist team, including workload allocation, capability development and performance conversations.
• Develop, implement and review workers’ compensation strategies across NSW and the ACT.
• Maintain compliance with the NSW self-insurance licence and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Oversee ACT insurance arrangements and progress claims with insurers to achieve sound outcomes.
• Provide expert guidance on complex claims, injury management, return to work, disputes and settlements.
• Champion early reporting, intervention and sustainable return-to-work practices.
• Collaborate with HSEQ, HR, Finance and operational leaders to develop claims strategies and strengthen safety and risk management.
• Use data and reporting to identify trends and support informed decision-making.
• Develop and deliver workers’ compensation, injury management and return-to-work training.
• Manage relationships with insurers, legal advisers, rehabilitation providers and service partners.
• Represent ISS during regulatory audits, industry forums, court proceedings and settlement discussions.
