Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company is seeking a Regional Engineering Manager to lead regional engineering activities and act as the Owner’s Engineer for capital projects. You will coordinate across disciplines, manage scope and budgets, and interface with EPC contractors and internal teams to ensure safe, reliable project delivery.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in process industries, PE/PMP credentials, and proven leadership in detailed design and capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Civil, or related).
• PE or PMP license or equivalent is required.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in process industries (oil & gas, specialty chemicals, food & beverage, or agricultural processing).
• Proven track record in detailed engineering design and capital projects.
• Act as Owner’s Engineer coordinating multi-discipline teams.
• Experience preparing and evaluating technical bid packages and EPC proposals.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with engineering design tools, project management systems, and digital collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Function as Owner’s Engineer, providing technical leadership and oversight.
• Serve as central engineering interface between project teams, EPC contractors, and stakeholders.
• Lead preparation, coordination, and review of detailed engineering design packages.
• Develop and assemble technical bid packages with scope, design basis, and specs.
• Review EPC proposals and contractor submittals for compliance.
• Manage engineering scope, schedule, budget, and resources for small capital/OPEX projects.
• Provide technical assurance through design and execution phases.
• Collaborate with management, procurement, construction, and operations teams.
• Act as local site engineering liaison and supporting business development.
• Develop internal standards for new equipment from specs to installation.
