Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment in Warrnambool, VIC is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join our established regional builder. You will manage subcontractor procurement, variations, cost controls and payments across a growing portfolio of social housing, healthcare and education projects.

The role offers autonomy, collaboration with the commercial team and the chance to own multiple projects from our Warrnambool base.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years’ experience in a Contract Administrator role within commercial construction.
• Relevant construction, building or quantity surveying qualification, or a trade background.
• Experience administering subcontractor packages, variations and progress claims.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage subcontractor procurement, tender comparisons and package letting.
• Prepare, review and administer subcontract agreements and variations.
• Handle progress claims, payment schedules and subcontractor payments.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and cost-to-complete reporting.
• Identify and manage commercial risks and notices.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Site Managers to meet requirements.
• Maintain project documentation and contractual records.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients and subcontractors on issues.
• Support delivery of multiple regional projects.
