Job summary

Department of Health is seeking an Operational Supervisor for Ambulance Tasmania in the North West region. Two fixed-term positions form part of the North West Regional Leadership Team, based at Devonport and Burnie, with rosters including 11.5-hour 4x Day and 12-hour 2x Day/2x Night shifts.

You will direct operations, supervise staff and resources, liaise with hospitals and emergency services, and contribute to quality assurance and policy development.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.
• Bachelor of Paramedic Science or equivalent qualification.
• Current Driver’s Licence

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and supervision of operations within the region.
• Provide expert advice to the Director and make recommendations to improve ambulance services in the region.
• Ensure high standard of patient care by implementing quality assurance programs and reviewing performance.
• Supervise human, physical and financial resources of the region, including budgeting.
• Develop, recommend and implement policies for resourcing and servicing regional activities.
• Liaise with hospitals, emergency services and community stakeholders.
• Undertake clinical practice as required.
