Job summary

Settlement Services International (SSI Group) is seeking a Refugee & Disability Employment Specialist to deliver holistic employment services for refugees and people with disabilities. Based in the Westgate region, you’ll provide one-on-one and group support to help clients achieve sustainable employment aligned with their goals and abilities.

You’ll work within the IEA program across flexible and intensive streams, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, engaging employers, and supporting

Qualifications

• Hold qualifications in Community Services, Mental Health, or related fields.
• Strong communication and engagement skills with clients.
• Experience in employment services or case management is desirable.
• Comfortable in performance-driven environments and self-motivated to achieve goals.
• Digitally confident with Microsoft Office and internal systems.
• Lived experience of disability or diverse cultural background is valued.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one and group-based support to participants.
• Identify employment goals and help overcome barriers using a strengths-based approach.
• Engage with employers to create tailored opportunities (reverse marketing / job carving).
• Coordinate with placement, training, and coaching components across streams.
• Ensure participant engagement and compliance with mutual obligations.
