Job summary

Settlement Services International (SSI Group) is seeking a Refugee & Disability Employment Consultant to support job seekers in the Westgate region, delivering holistic, participant-centred services across preparation, placement and post-placement phases.

The role emphasizes a strength-based approach, collaboration with internal teams, and tailored opportunities with employers to achieve sustainable outcomes for people with disability and refugee communities.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Community Services or Mental Health are highly regarded.
• Passionate about supporting people with disability to achieve long-term employment outcomes.
• Strong communication and engagement skills with ability to build trust.
• Experience in employment services or case management is desirable.
• Comfortable in performance-driven environments and self-motivated.
• Digitally confident with MS Office and internal systems.
• Lived experience of disability or diverse background welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one and group-based support to participants.
• Connect participants with relevant training and interventions.
• Provide ongoing coaching through placement and job support phases.
• Engage in reverse marketing and job carving with employers.
• Ensure mutual obligations compliance under IEA DEED framework.
• Travel across Westgate region as required.
