Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking two Recruitment Coordinators for Brisbane to support in-house teams on 6- and 12-month contracts. The roles involve handling high volumes of applications, quick screening, and coordinating across sites.

You will conduct phone screens, build shortlists, arrange interviews, and perform checks such as reference and right-to-work. This is a busy, process-driven role focusing on delivery and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

Recruitment Coordinator | Brisbane | 6 and 12-month contracts

Do you enjoy working through a large volume of applications, making quick, sound decisions and keeping a busy process moving?

I am recruiting two Recruitment Coordinators for in-house teams in Brisbane, one on a 6-month contract and one on a 12-month contract. Both clients are large businesses with Brisbane offices and operational teams across a mix of sites. Almost all their hiring is done in-house, and these roles manage the volume. Some roles run all year. Some campaigns attract several hundred applicants. On any given day, you could be recruiting an accountant, a cleaner, a sales support officer and a group of entry-level operational staff at once.

What you will do

• Manage multiple roles at once, from advertisement through to appointment
• Screen large numbers of applications quickly and fairly
• Run phone screens every day, often back to back
• Build shortlists and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
• Complete reference, right to work (VEVO) and criminal history checks
• Keep every candidate informed, even when the numbers are high
• Support the Human Resources team with some administration

This is about volume and process, not headhunting or executive search. You will spend most of your week on the phone and in the applicant tracking system.

• The ability to screen quickly while treating every applicant with respect
• Confidence on the phone with people from all backgrounds, from office staff to people on remote sites
• Strong organisation, with the ability to juggle many roles without losing track
• Comfort with technology. Applicant tracking system, Workday or UKG experience is a bonus
