Job summary

NSW Health is seeking a Recovery at Work Coordinator (Health Manager Level 2) to support injury management and safe return-to-work for staff at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. The role is temporary part-time, 24 hours per week, up to 11 months, with a negotiable pattern of days off.

The position requires accreditation by SIRA as a Return-to-Work Coordinator, knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation legislation, and strong communication and reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Must be a qualified health professional or have relevant work experience with accreditation by SIRA as a Return-to-Work Coordinator/Recovery@Work Coordinator.
• Knowledge of NSW Workers Compensation legislation and SIRA guidelines for prevention and management of workplace injuries.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, counselling, and ability to write clear, accurate reports.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of Injury Management and Return-To-Work Policy and Procedures to promote early and safe return to work.
• Initiate, coordinate and monitor the return-to-work process and provide progress reports to Managers.
