Job summary

dnata Melbourne Cargo facility is expanding its clerical team. We seek motivated, bubbly individuals who can navigate a computer and deliver high-quality customer service in a busy environment at Melbourne Airport.

Role includes handling calls, emails, tracking shipments, and supporting inspections and security processes. Permanent part-time roles available (minimum 24 hours/week), with potential full-time progression after 1 year of service.

Qualifications

• Hold a current VIC Driver's License.
• Experience in an operational environment with SOPs in place.
• Proficient with computers at an intermediate level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service focus with a can-do attitude.
• Understands and meets Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• A positive, reliable team player who can work independently.
• Committed to working safely at all times.

Responsibilities

• Answer and attend to telephone enquiries.
• Monitor and respond to customer service emails.
• Phone shipments to Agents/Consignees/Personal Effects.
• Coordinate with Warehouse on Bond Checks and monitoring.
• Track and trace shipments; investigate missing/found cargo.
• Assist with inspections, destructions, seizures, and abandonments.
• Assist with rotations and training of staff.
• Be part of a large supportive team in a fast-paced aviation environment.

AllCustomerServiceDuties

• Answering and attending to majority telephone enquiries.
• Monitoring and answeringcustomerserviceemails.
• Phoning shipments out to Agents/Consignees/Personal Effects
• Liaise with Warehouse re Bond Checks and monitor them
• Track & Trace
• Missing cargo / Found cargo investigations
• Assist with Quarantine Inspections / Destructions / Seizures and Abandon shipments.
• Rotations setup

Skills, Experience and Licenses:

• Current VIC Driver's License;
• Previous experience in an Operational environment where SOP's were in place;
• Intermediate computer skills;
• Excellent communication skills – Verbal and Written;
• High level of customer service skills;
• Understands the importance of meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA's);
• Excellent team player with a positive/can-do attitude;
• Works in a Safe Manner at all times;
• Reliable, trustworthy and has the ability to work independently.

Working for dnata at the airport there are a few must haves for you to be successful:

• You need to have Australian / New Zealand citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency
• You must be willing to undertake a Pre-employment medical test
• You must be willing to undergo an Australian Federal Police Security check
• You will also need for some of the roles a valid driver’s license
• Basic – Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent communication skills – Verbal and WrittenHigh level of customer service skills
• Available to work on a rotating roster
