Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking an experienced Raisebore Electrician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform breakdown repairs, preventive maintenance, and scheduled electrical servicing across a large fleet of Raisebore drills and associated equipment in an underground mining environment.

You will ensure equipment reliability, minimise downtime, and contribute to safe drilling operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding in heavy industrial/mining environments.
• Current WA Electrical Licence and CPR/EAR certification.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems and able to read electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs, fault-finding and electrical maintenance on Raisebore drills and equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections and pre-start checks to meet safety requirements.
• Complete electrical work per procedures and standards; generate maintenance reports.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Raisebore Electrician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for conducting breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and scheduled electrical servicing across a large fleet of Raisebore Drills and associated equipment.

This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting safe and efficient drilling operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs, fault-finding, and electrical maintenance on Raisebore drills and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and pre-start checks to maintain compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
• Complete all electrical work in accordance with relevant technical procedures, industry standards, and company policies.
• Attend and actively contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and complete JSAs and Safe Stops as required.
• Prepare accurate maintenance and shift reports, while ensuring compliance with client and company site procedures and operational requirements.

Qualifications

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding within underground mining, drilling, or heavy industrial environments.
• A current WA Electrical Licence and current CPR/EAR and Switchboard Rescue certifications.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, Allen Bradley drives, and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to respond effectively to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and compliance, supported by a valid manual driver's licence and a proactive work ethic.
