Job summary

Redpath Mining is seeking a skilled Raisebore Electrician to join our team in Perth on a FIFO roster. You will perform breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and scheduled electrical servicing across a fleet of raisebore drills and equipment.

The role requires a WA Electrical Licence, CPR/EAR and Switchboard Rescue certifications, plus experience with PLC systems and Allen Bradley drives. Safety and regulatory compliance are essential in this challenging mining environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding in underground mining, drilling, or heavy industrial environments.
• WA Electrical Licence, CPR/EAR and Switchboard Rescue certifications are required.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems and Allen Bradley drives; ability to read electrical schematics.
• Commitment to safety, teamwork, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs, fault-finding, and electrical maintenance on Raisebore drills and related equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and pre-start checks to maintain safety standards.
• Complete electrical work in accordance with procedures, standards, and policies.
• Attend pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and complete JSAs and Safe Stops as required.
• Prepare accurate maintenance and shift reports in line with site procedures.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Raisebore Electrician to join our team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for conducting breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, and scheduled electrical servicing across a large fleet of Raisebore Drills and associated equipment.

This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and supporting safe and efficient drilling operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown repairs, fault-finding, and electrical maintenance on Raisebore drills and associated equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and pre-start checks to maintain compliance with safety and statutory requirements.
• Complete all electrical work in accordance with relevant technical procedures, industry standards, and company policies.
• Attend and actively contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and complete JSAs and Safe Stops as required.
• Prepare accurate maintenance and shift reports, while ensuring compliance with client and company site procedures and operational requirements.

Qualifications

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Demonstrate

• Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding within underground mining, drilling, or heavy industrial environments.
• A current WA Electrical Licence and current CPR/EAR and Switchboard Rescue certifications.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, Allen Bradley drives, and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to respond effectively to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and compliance, supported by a valid manual driver's licence and a proactive work ethic.
