Job summary

Archer Daniels Midland Company seeks a Senior Manager, R&D to lead the deployment of R&D technologies into Operations, QA/QC, and Regulatory. You will oversee tech-transfer, process documentation, and readiness for manufacturing deployment, partnering with multiple functions to ensure scalable, compliant solutions.

The role demands a PhD and 8–12+ years in the industry with leadership experience, including experience with phage, spore-formers, and enzymes.

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant scientific field is required.
• 8–12+ years of industry experience with 3–5+ years of people leadership.
• Experience across R&D, Operations, QA/QC, Regulatory, Medical preferred.
• Experience with phage, spore-formers, and enzymes highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with global safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Lead tech-transfer, validation, and documentation activities.
• Collaborate with Operations for onboarding and scale-up of new materials.
• Coordinate validation, verification, and performance qualification.
• Align with QA/QC, Regulatory, Medical, and Supply Chain for readiness.
• Develop timelines, risk assessments, and deployment plans.
• Lead and develop a team of ≥5 scientists and technicians.
• Provide scientific oversight for manufacturability and QC readiness.
