• 3+ years in business development in industrial packaging or related repeat-purchase products.
• Able to prospect, open doors and present value to decision-makers.
• Commercial judgement around pricing, margin and account potential.
• Autonomous, able to manage a large territory and travel across Queensland.
• Unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and work rights.

Queensland Business Development Manager | Industrial Packaging

Queensland needs a genuine industrial B2B hunter.

Pacific Packaging Australia is seeking a hands-on Queensland Business Development Manager to win new customers and grow profitable industrial packaging accounts across the state.

Based from Rocklea, this is a field-based role with regular travel through Brisbane, Central Queensland and North Queensland, including Rockhampton and Townsville. You will take ownership of a defined territory, create opportunities and build commercially valuable customer relationships.

This is not primarily a branch-management or desk-based account-maintenance role. We are looking for a person who enjoys prospecting, getting in front of customers and converting opportunities into long-term business.

Established in Queensland in 2014, Pacific Packaging Australia supplies industrial and commercial packaging to businesses across Australia. Our range includes bulk bags and FIBCs, woven polypropylene sacks, stretch film, strapping, tapes, load restraint, builders film and custom packaging solutions.

Your focus

• Win new B2B customers in industrial and commercial markets.
• Build and manage a disciplined target-account pipeline.
• Develop existing accounts through cross‑selling and increased share of wallet.
• Identify high-volume, contract and custom-product opportunities.
• Meet business owners, procurement managers, operations managers and warehouse leaders at customer sites.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate sustainable agreements and protect margin.
• Work closely with our Brisbane, Rockhampton and Townsville operations on local growth opportunities.
• Maintain clear pipeline, forecasting and market intelligence.

What you bring

• A proven record of personally winning new B2B customers and growing commercial accounts.
• At least three years’ experience in business development, ideally selling industrial packaging, consumables, logistics, warehouse, manufacturing, agricultural or similar repeat‑purchase products.
• Confidence prospecting, opening doors and presenting value to operational and procurement decision-makers.
• Commercial judgement around pricing, margin and account potential.
• The ability to work autonomously, organise a large territory and travel regularly throughout Queensland.
• An unrestricted Australian driver’s licence and full Australian work rights.

Packaging experience is helpful but not essential. More important is evidence that you can create new business in an industrial B2B environment.
