Job summary

MAAS Group is seeking an experienced Quarry Operator to be based at the Gladstone Quarry in Queensland. You will operate mobile plant including Water Cart, Front End Loader, Dump Truck and Excavator, and support daily quarry operations.

We require White Card and MR licence, with quarry experience and a proactive, organized approach. You must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment and participate in on-site safety briefings.

Qualifications

• Experience operating plant such as front end loader and excavator.
• Hold White Card and MR licence.
• Experience in a quarry environment with proactive, organized approach.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Mobile plant operation including Water Cart, Front End Loader, Dump Truck and Excavator
• Carry out daily quarry operations and regular maintenance of various vehicles, plant and equipment
• Complete daily pre-start checks on plant
• Participate in daily toolbox talks
• Develop understanding of Maas Group WHS policies and procedures and follow all instructions from Quarry Supervisor.

Key responsibilities:

• Mobile plant operation including Water Cart, Front End Loader, Dump Truck and Excavator
• Carry out daily quarry operations and regular maintenance of various vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Complete daily pre-start checks on plant
• Participate in daily toolbox talks
• Develop a thorough understanding of Maas Group WHS policies and procedures
• Follow all instructions from Quarry Supervisor.

Required skills and experience:

• Various plant experience including front end loader and excavator
• White Card
• MR licence
• Experience working in a quarry environment
• Use of initiative, proactive and organised approached to work
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment prior to commencement on site.
