Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Quarry Operator for Wollert Quarry in VIC, ~45 minutes north of Melbourne. This full-time role offers rostered half-day Saturday shifts, with overtime as needed.

You will operate heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance, and carry out general labour tasks while adhering to OH&S standards and the company’s values. Training opportunities and career development are available.

Qualifications

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Total commitment to risk management and OH&S.

• Experience in Quarrying, Mining or similar heavy industry environment.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Wollert Quarry in VIC, 45 minutes north of Melbourne CBD.

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Operate a heavy vehicle (Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump Truck). If no ticket, Heidelberg Materials Australia will provide training and certification for the right candidate
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shovelling
