Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator for our Wollert Quarry, VIC, about 45 minutes north of Melbourne's CBD. This full-time role includes overtime and weekend work as needed, with on-site duties at the Wollert quarry site.

You will operate and maintain vehicles and equipment, including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump trucks. Training and certification may be provided for the right candidate and prior quarrying experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to risk management and OH&S.
• Positive work ethic aligned with Heidelberg Materials values.
• Excavator/front end loader/dump truck tickets are advantageous.
• Experience in quarrying, mining or similar heavy industry.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Wollert Quarry in VIC, 45 minutes north of Melbourne CBD.

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Operate a heavy vehicle (Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump Truck). If no ticket, Heidelberg Materials Australia will provide training and certification for the right candidate
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shovelling
