Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Quarry Operator to join the Kilmore East Quarry team. You will perform day-to-day operation and maintenance of heavy vehicles, plant and equipment, supporting quarry operations.

This full-time role includes overtime, weekend work as needed, and ongoing training. The successful candidate will work with a skilled team and contribute to safe, efficient site operations.

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain day-to-day operation of vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Experience operating CAT 990/992 loaders is advantageous.
• Experience in quarrying or mining is preferred.

Operate and Assist

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Kilmore East Quarry.

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In Your New Role With Us, You Will

• Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment.
• Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump trucks.
• Perform general labouring activities, including cleaning, hosing, and shovelling.

• Experience operating CAT 990/992 loaders (advantageous).
• Articulated dump truck and rigid haul truck experience (preferred).
• Rock breaker experience (favourable).
• Heavy machinery tickets are not required; however, relevant operating experience is essential.
• Experience in quarrying or mining.
• The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

What We Offer

• Hourly base rate from $34.53, depending on experience, plus penalty rates and superannuation.
• Monday to Friday, with average hours of 6:00am to 2:00pm.
• Rostered half-day Saturday shifts every second week, depending on workload and production requirements.
