Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator for the Kilmore East Quarry on a full-time basis with overtime and weekend work as needed. The role involves operating and maintaining vehicles and heavy equipment, plus general labour tasks to support quarry operations.

Ideal candidates will have strong safety awareness, good teamwork, and proven experience with quarrying or mining.

• Experience operating CAT 990/992 loaders (advantageous).

• Heavy machinery tickets are not required; however, relevant operating experience is essential.
• Experience in quarrying or mining.

Full-time opportunity operating heavy machinery and supporting quarry operations. Competitive pay, overtime available, and ongoing training with Heidelberg Materials Australia. Operate and Assist Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country’s leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Kilmore East Quarry. This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment.
• Operate heavy machinery, including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump trucks.
• Perform general labouring activities, including cleaning, hosing, and shovelling.

What we offer:

• Hourly base rate from $34.53, depending on experience, plus penalty rates and superannuation.
• Monday to Friday, with average hours of 6:00am to 2:00pm.
• Rostered half-day Saturday shifts every second week, depending on workload and production requirements.
