Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator for the Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC, about 2 hours north of Melbourne. This full-time role includes overtime and weekend work as needed.

You will operate and maintain vehicles and equipment, work with excavators, loaders, and trucks, and perform general quarry duties while adhering to safety standards and company values.

Qualifications

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Total commitment to risk management and OH&S.

• Experience in Quarrying or Mining.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment.

• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shoveling and general quarry maintenance.

Job description

Operate and Assist Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia. We are currently seeking a self‑motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC, approx. 2 hours drive North of Melbourne CBD. This is a full‑time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Operate a heavy machinery such as excavator, front end loader, dump truck & grader. (Experience preferred)
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shoveling and general quarry maintenance

• Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump truck ticket is advantageous
