Job summary

Healthscope is seeking a Quality and Risk Coordinator at Norwest Private Hospital in Sydney's Northwest corridor. You will lead governance, drive quality improvements, and ensure patient-centered care across teams, with NSQHS compliance and risk mitigation at the core.

The role focuses on advocacy for patient needs, supporting clinical managers, and embedding the patient voice in every decision to uplift outcomes and experience. Strong data analysis and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
• Tertiary qualifications in health, clinical governance, quality or risk management (or working towards).
• Demonstrated experience in healthcare quality and risk portfolios.
• Working knowledge of NSQHS Standards, accreditation and regulatory frameworks.
• Intermediate to advanced data analysis, incident review, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead Standard Committee meetings to reflect patient needs and drive actions.
• Provide quality portfolio support for Clinical Managers across departments.
• Link policy creation and review to safe, consistent practice.
• Support risk management including Serious Adverse Event reviews and harm reduction.
• Conduct ward rounds and targeted audits for safety and quality compliance.
• Assist with regulatory response and accreditation processes.
• Support integrity and embedding of patient voice in decision making.
