Job summary

The BMD Group is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality on a major transport infrastructure project in Western Sydney, with initial mobilisation from Wentworth Point. You will establish and continuously improve the Quality Management System, aligning with TfNSW, ISO standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quality Manager on major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Experience implementing and managing project quality management systems from mobilisation through delivery.
• Lead Auditor qualification in ISO 9001; ISO 14001/45001 knowledge beneficial.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 requirements and NSW infrastructure delivery environments.
• Experience working with Transport for NSW specifications, quality requirements and assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and empower project quality personnel to deliver exceptional outcomes.
• Develop, implement and maintain Project Quality Management Plans and ITPs.
• Establish and manage project audit schedules and quality reporting.
• Identify, investigate and resolve non-conformances with corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement and manage quality-related project risks.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
• Manage client, supplier, subcontractor and stakeholder quality interfaces.
• Provide quality leadership and guidance across delivery teams.
• Monitor and report quality performance metrics to stakeholders.
• Support teams in achieving best-practice quality outcomes.
