Job summary

BMD NSW is seeking an experienced Quality Manager based at Wentworth Point, moving to a site-based leadership role on a major transport infrastructure project in Western Sydney. You will establish, maintain and continuously improve the project’s Quality Management System while ensuring client, contractual, regulatory and BMD requirements are met.

You’ll lead project quality personnel, manage audits and inspections, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement across construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as a Quality Manager on major infrastructure projects.
• Experience implementing QMS from mobilisation to delivery.
• Lead Auditor ISO 9001 with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.
• Knowledge of NSW TfNSW specs and QA processes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and empower project quality personnel to deliver exceptional project outcomes.
• Develop, implement and maintain Project Quality Management Plans, ITPs and assurance processes.
• Establish and manage project audit schedules, surveillance activities and quality reporting.
• Identify, investigate and resolve non-conformances with corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement and manage quality-related project risks.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, TfNSW specs, regulatory requirements and ISO standards.
• Manage client, supplier, subcontractor and stakeholder quality interfaces.
• Provide quality leadership across delivery teams and report performance metrics.
