Job summary

Gamuda Australia is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality function on the Sydney Integrated Station Development projects, collaborating with design, engineering and construction teams to ensure ISO 9001 compliance.

You will develop and maintain QMS, ITPs, and inspection plans, perform audits, manage non-conformances, and drive continuous improvement while coordinating with subcontractors and clients.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Lead on major infrastructure projects, with Sydney Metro exposure preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, ITP development, Quality Checklists, and hold-point inspection processes.
• Proven track record in internal/external quality audits, risk reviews, and managing non-conformance registers.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills to influence site teams and build client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, implementation, and updating of the Quality Management Plan, ITPs, and Quality Checklists.
• Plan and conduct comprehensive quality audits on design consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Track, investigate, and manage non-conformances (NCRs) with root-cause rectifications.
• Collaborate with site teams to review construction planning for risk areas and sustain quality standards.
• Consolidate quality data, monitor QA metrics, and produce monthly quality reports for leadership and client review.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to monitor performance and resolve quality issues.
