Job summary

BMD Group is seeking a Quality Manager for our on-site civil/infrastructure projects in Australia. You will lead the Quality Management Plan, drive implementation of QA processes, and coordinate audits, inspections and NCRs to ensure outcomes meet contractual and ISO standards.

You will mentor quality personnel, collaborate with clients and subcontractors, and promote a safety-first, continuous-improvement culture across sites and teams.

Qualifications

• Degree or qualification in Civil/Structural Engineering preferred
• Proven experience in a Quality Manager or senior quality role within construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001)
• Experience managing audits, inspections and non-conformances (NCRs)
• Ability to lead teams and influence positive quality outcomes on site
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage complex documentation
• Experience working with subcontractors, clients and regulatory requirements
• Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement
• Flexibility to travel to project sites as required

• Lead quality reporting, including lot management and compliance tracking
• Work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors and independent verifiers
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems and processes
• Lead and mentor quality personnel, including inspectors and representatives
• Promote a strong safety and quality culture aligned with project and company values

About The Role

BMD Constructions is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and management of the project’s Quality Management Plan, ensuring all works are delivered in line with contractual, regulatory and company standards. In this role you will take ownership of quality systems on site, working closely with project teams, subcontractors and stakeholders to ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and support a "get it right first time" culture.
