Job summary

Qantas Airways is seeking a Quality Engineer for our new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide. This role focuses on embedding quality practices across the software delivery lifecycle to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure digital experiences for customers.

You will work within agile squads on both manual and automated testing, strengthening test frameworks and collaborating with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high‑quality digital solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Quality Engineering, Test Automation or Software Testing within Agile delivery environments.
• Design, create and maintain high quality test cases using Jira Zephyr and structured testing practices.
• Execute manual and automated testing across frontend and backend systems for end‑to‑end coverage and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans and test cases across frontend and backend systems.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites (Playwright/Cypress).
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners and stakeholders to define and implement test strategies.
• Conduct cross‑browser testing using LambdaTest and BrowserStack; validate APIs with REST Assured and Pact.
• Contribute to documentation such as test guides and data strategies to support quality outcomes.
