Job summary

Qantas Airways is hiring a Senior Quality Engineer for its new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide. You will help embed robust testing strategies and automation to ensure software reliability, performance and security for cabin crew‑facing apps.

With 6+ years of enterprise QA experience, you will lead manual and automated testing, API validation and offline/low‑connectivity scenarios, collaborating with engineers, PMs and designers to raise quality across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in enterprise QA, mobile app and API testing.
• Experience testing with iOS MDM devices.
• Manual and automation testing experience.
• Strong API testing including RESTful services.
• Familiar with Postman, Swagger, Charles, Proxyman.
• Experience testing offline/low-connectivity apps.
• Proficient in Xcode debugging and log analysis.
• CI/CD exposure (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Understanding mobile app architecture and backend integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and improve test strategies within a cross‑functional team.
• Contribute to test automation and embed quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Design and execute functional, regression and exploratory tests.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers.
• Investigate defects with strong attention to detail.
• Promote quality practices across the product team.
