Job summary

Country Mile Home Care Pty is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer for a hands‑on, quality‑driven role in Parramatta. You will help staff translate quality requirements into everyday practice, conduct audits, and support management with evidence and documentation for regulatory reviews.

You will work closely with the clinical team, case managers and service partners, monitoring incidents, driving continuous improvement and ensuring staff and subcontractors meet training and qualification

Qualifications

• Experience in quality assurance, compliance, auditing or a similar role within aged care.
• Sound understanding of home care operations and aged care quality requirements.
• Clear written communication skills and report preparation.
• Organisational skills with the ability to follow up on actions.
• Experience with quality monitoring of subcontractors and providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of client files, care documentation, service delivery and organisational processes.
• Support compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and related requirements.
• Maintain policies, procedures, risk registers and continuous improvement plans.
• Monitor complaints, incidents and feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Quality Assurance Officer – Aged Care (Hybrid)

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who can identify gaps, organise evidence, follow through on corrective actions and help staff put quality requirements into everyday practice. Based in our Parramatta office, you will work closely with management, our clinical team, case managers and service partners to help deliver safe, consistent and person‑centred care.

Key responsibilities

Conducting internal audits of client files, care documentation, service delivery and organisational processes.

Supporting compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards, Support at Home requirements and relevant organisational obligations.

Maintaining policies, procedures, risk registers and continuous improvement plans.

Monitoring complaints, incidents and feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Tracking corrective actions and checking that improvements are implemented and effective.

Preparing evidence, reports and documentation for external audits and regulatory reviews.

Reviewing staff and contractor records, including qualifications, screening and training requirements.

Supporting quality monitoring of subcontractors and associated providers.

Helping staff improve record keeping, documentation and understanding of quality requirements.

Preparing quality reports for management and supporting governance meetings.

About you

Experience in quality assurance, compliance, auditing or a similar role within aged care.

A sound understanding of home care operations and aged care quality requirements.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to assess documentation critically.

Clear written communication skills, including policy writing and report preparation.

Good organisational skills and the confidence to follow up outstanding actions.

A practical, collaborative approach to helping teams improve.

Confidence using Microsoft Office and client management systems.

Relevant qualifications in quality management, nursing, allied health, aged care or a related field.

Experience with Support at Home, regulatory reviews or audit preparation.

Experience monitoring subcontracted services.
