Job summary

Home Care Assistance seeks a Clinical, Quality & Compliance Manager to lead governance, quality, compliance and risk across the organisation. You will drive continuous improvement and support governance committees, reporting to the Executive Team and Board.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Qualification in Quality, Clinical Governance, Healthcare Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality, compliance, clinical governance or accreditation functions, ideally within aged care or healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on clinical governance, quality, compliance and risk management across the organisation.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and consumer-centred care.
• Lead Clinical Governance Meetings and support governance committees, reference groups and advisory bodies.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for the Executive Team, Board and governance committees.
• Ensure Quality and Compliance Advisory Bodies operate in accordance with their Terms of Reference.
• Promote compliance with organisational values, policies, procedures and Work Health and Safety requirements.
• Develop and deliver clinical and compliance training programs.
• Lead the organisation's clinical governance framework and oversight of clinical quality and safety systems.
• Provide expert advice on clinical issues, care delivery standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor clinical performance indicators and identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain oversight of infection prevention and control programs and outbreak preparedness.
• Build relationships with external clinical providers and brokerage partners to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor Complaints, Incidents & Risk Management; Oversee Policy & Systems Management.

Education

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Location: Either: Sydney East, Central Coast, NSW or Sunshine Coast, QLD

Home Care Assistance is seeking a motivated individual to support the delivery of high quality, client focused, home based aged care services, while promoting positive and inspirational engagement with our staff. The successful candidate will become a member of our Senior Management Team and will be expected to work across Sydney East, Central Coast NSW, and Sunshine Coast QLD, with occasional travel required between these regions.

About the Role: The Clinical, Quality & Compliance Manager, will provide:

Leadership

Provide leadership and guidance on clinical governance, quality, compliance and risk management across the organisation.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and consumer-centred care.

Lead Clinical Governance Meetings and support governance committees, reference groups and advisory bodies.

Prepare reports and recommendations for the Executive Team, Board and governance committees.

Ensure Quality and Compliance Advisory Bodies operate in accordance with their Terms of Reference.

Clinical Management

Act as a clinical quality resource for managers and staff.

Ensure clinical policies and procedures remain current and aligned with legislative and best practice requirements.

Build and maintain effective relationships with external clinical providers and brokerage partners, ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance.

Oversee Regulatory Management and Continuous Improvement

Monitor Complaints, Incidents & Risk Management

Oversee Policy & Systems Management

Quality Management

Provide data and information for reporting purposes.

Provide education and training for employees in compliance, quality & risk systems and processes.

Audits are completed and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation’s project management capability

Project reports clearly identify issues, objectives and suggestions for improvements

Essential Qualifications:

Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse

Qualification in Quality, Clinical Governance, Healthcare Management or related field.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a quality, compliance, clinical governance or accreditation functions training coordination, or service improvement role, ideally within aged care or healthcare.

Experience managing incidents, complaints and risk management.
