Job summary

Bethanie is seeking an experienced Qualified Support Worker to provide services in the South West area around Bunbury. The role involves personal care, domestic assistance, and social support in clients’ homes, with a focus on helping age­ing Australians live independently.

Permanent part-time employment with a minimum of 15 hours per week is offered. Availability between 7:30am and 2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday is required. A travel allowance of $1.05 per kilometre is provided.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) is required.
• Previous experience in aged care or community care is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver services including personal care, meal preparation, cleaning and laundry.
• Keep living areas clean, tidy and hazard-free.
• Document personal care tasks and outcomes.
• Assist with transport to appointments.
• Provide social support by engaging in activities clients enjoy.

Bethanie Home Care offer a variety of services to ageing Australians, allowing them to live independently in their own homes throughout Perth, Geraldton and in the South West.

We provide support with day-to-day living including personal care, domestic assistance and gardening services, as well as respite services and social support.

We are currently seeking an experienced Qualified Support Worker to provide services in the South West area, in the suburbs surrounding Bunbury.

To be successful in this role:

• Permanent part time employment
• Working a minimum of 15 hours per week
• Be available between 7:30am and 2pm on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

As you will be required to use your own car in this role, we offer a travel allowance of $1.05 per kilometre.

About You

• Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing)
• Previous experience working in an aged care or community care environment
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle

The Role

• Professionally deliver a variety of services including food preparation, cleaning and laundry services, personal care, as well as supporting hobbies, interests and leisure activities
• Ensure all living areas of clients’ homes are kept clean, tidy and safe from hazards
• Ensure all personal care tasks and outcomes are met and documented appropriately
• Support clients with transport to appointments
• Provide social support to clients by spending time doing the things they love
