Job summary

Bethanie Group in Perth's North Metro region seeks a Qualified Support Worker to assist older adults in-home across Duncraig, Darch, to Two Rocks. The role includes personal care, domestic tasks and social activities with travel support provided.

Applicants must hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent, have aged/community care experience, a valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle, and be willing to obtain vaccinations.

Bethanie Home Care offer a variety of services to older Australians, allowing them to live independently in their own homes throughout Perth, Geraldton and in the South West.

We provide support with day-to-day living including personal care, domestic assistance and gardening services, as well as respite services and social support.

We are currently seeking a Qualified Support Worker to provide services in the North Metro area, from Duncraig and Darch to Two Rocks.

To be successful in this role, you must be available to commit to:

• Permanent part time employment, working a minimum of 20 hours per week depending on availability
• Shifts between the hours of 8:30am – 4pm across Monday to Friday.

As you will be required to use your own car in this role, we offer a travel allowance of $1.05 per kilometre.

About You

• You must have Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent
• Previous experience working in an aged care or community care environment
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
• You must hold a current driver’s licence and have your own reliable vehicle
• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)

The Role

• Professionally deliver a variety of services including food preparation, cleaning and laundry services, personal care, as well as supporting hobbies, interests and leisure activities
• Ensure all living areas of clients’ homes are kept clean, tidy and safe from hazards
• Ensure all personal care tasks and outcomes are met and documented appropriately
• Support clients with transport to appointments
• Provide social support to clients by spending time doing the things they love
• Prioritise a personal connection with clients, ensuring respect and compassion is shown at all time
