Job summary

Bethanie Group is looking for an Unqualified Support Worker in Geraldton to deliver essential support services to aging Australians. The role involves helping with food preparation, cleaning, and providing social support, ensuring clients' homes remain safe and welcoming.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an aged care or community care environment is desirable.
• Must be willing to obtain relevant vaccinations.
• Need to hold a current driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
• Must have a current National Police Clearance or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a variety of services including food preparation, cleaning, and laundry.
• Ensure clients’ homes are kept clean, tidy, and safe from hazards.
• Support clients with transport to appointments.
• Provide social support by engaging clients in their hobbies and interests.

Skills

Previous experience in aged care or community care

Bethanie Home Care offers a variety of services to aging Australians, allowing them to live independently in their own homes throughout Perth, Geraldton, and in the South West.

We provide support with day-to-day living including domestic assistance and gardening services, as well as respite services and social support.

Position: Unqualified Support Worker (Geraldton)

Commitment:

• Permanent part time employment, working a minimum of 12 hours per week
• Available between the hours of 8:30am – 3pm across Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Travel allowance per kilometre will be provided for use of your own car.

About You

• Previous experience working in an aged care or community care environment will be desirable
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
• Hold a current driver’s licence and have access to a reliable vehicle
• Current National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)

The Role

• Professionally deliver a variety of services including food preparation, cleaning, and laundry services, as well as supporting hobbies, interests and leisure activities.
• Ensure all living areas of clients’ homes are kept clean, tidy and safe from hazards.
• Support clients with transport to appointments.
• Provide social support to clients by spending time doing the things they love.
• Prioritise a personal connection with clients, ensuring respect and compassion is shown at all time.
