Job summary

Bethanie Elanora, Bunbury, is seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to support residents in a caring, not-for-profit environment. This casual role at BethanieElanora involves daily kitchen duties, meal prep, and maintaining hygiene standards in a respectful setting.

The successful candidate will have prior kitchen experience, a compassionate approach to elder care, and a flexible, team-oriented mindset. Willingness to obtain vaccinations and pass the NDIS Worker Screening Check is required.

Qualifications

• Passion for or previous experience as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care/hospital setting.
• Can-do attitude with genuine care for residents.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food prep practices meet hygiene standards.
• Ensure daily availability of required ingredients.
• Assist in meal preparation and serving.
• Keep utensils, equipment and work areas clean and safe.

We’re a leading, trusted not-for-profit organisation, and we’re proudly local to Western Australia, welcoming people in our aged care homes, retirement villages, community housing and more.

We are currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Hand to provide daily support to our residents at BethanieElanora, Bunbury.

This role is offered on aCasual Basis.

Renumeration: $29.98 per hour + Casual Loading.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring responsible work practices of food preparation, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Ensuring required ingredients are available daily.
• Assisting in the preparation and serving of meals.
• Maintaining all utensils, equipment, work benches and general surrounds in a clean and safe condition.
• Collecting and washing pots, pans, crockery and cutlery.

About You

• Possess a passion for or previous experience working as a Kitchen Hand, ideally in an aged care, hospital or similar environment.
• Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a genuine compassion for our residents.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to uphold the Mission, Vision and Values of The Bethanie Group.
• Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations.
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
