Job summary

Cakes West in Bassendean is seeking an energetic and reliable Qualified Pastry Cook to join our wholesale production team. You will contribute to high-volume production of shortbread, pastries, croissants, and related goods.

The role covers decorating, finishing, baking, and operating large commercial ovens. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 5:00am to 1:00pm, with opportunities for development into supervisory roles for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Qualified Pastry Cook with strong knowledge in Shortbread and pastry production.
• Experience operating a dough sheeter.
• Experience in high-volume, wholesale bakery environment.
• Strong HACCP/food safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• High-volume production of premium Shortbread, sweet and savoury pastries and croissants.
• Decorating, finishing and presentation of products to a high quality.
• Baking goods and operation of large commercial ovens.
• Assisting other production teams as required.
• Meet production targets while maintaining quality.

Cakes West is seeking an energetic and reliable Qualified Pastry Cook with strong knowledge in Shortbread and Pastry production to join our dynamic production team at our wholesale factory in Bassendean

We are a leading provider of premium baked goods with over 20 years of experience in the industry

About the role:

• High volume production of premium Shortbread, Sweet and Savoury pastries and Croissants
• Decorating, finishing and presentation of products consistently to a high-quality
• Baking goods and operation of large commercial ovens
• Monday to Friday 5:00am to 1:00pm
• Assisting other teams across all aspects of production as required

Requirements:

• Qualified Pastry Cook with strong knowledge in Shortbread and Pastry Production
• Meticulous in following recipes, procedures and process to ensure consistent high-quality products
• Experienced in operating dough sheeter
• Pastry Laminating and Proofing experience is highly desirable
• Wholesale Industry experience in high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team under pressure to meet production targets
• Strong understanding of HACCP / Food Safety Compliance / Quality Control
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Must have Australian work rights (No Visa Sponsorship available)
